What You’ll Learn

Risk is a hands-on adventure from day one. Alongside experienced analysts, you’ll contribute to live tasks and projects. Supporting everyone across the business to make informed choices. 
 You’ll find yourself working as part of a Risk Science teams such as Financial Risk Oversight (including Market & Liquidity Risk, and Climate Risk Analytics), Credit Risk Modelling or Model Strategy & Governance. Levelling up your modelling and analytics skills with every new step.

A year here will give you experience and confidence. Get you ready to take your next big career step. You’ll be able to apply directly to the Risk Graduate Scheme, continuing your development and building a great career.

What You’re Work Could Involve

  • Using data to forecast returns, pricing and default rates. Assessing the capital needs that let us provide billions in lending.
  • Monitoring and improving our smart decision models as they handle millions of customers each month
  • Modelling the funding needed to keep the business safe in a constantly changing market
  • Simplifying processes, automating decisions, and enhancing data insights.

Requirements

You’ll need to:
•    Be in your penultimate year of university during the placement dates.
•    Posses strong problem-solving skills.
•    Have a passion for learning. 

You’ll be based at one of three locations - Bristol, Edinburgh or Leeds. We support hybrid working, but ask all colleagues to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.
