Eligibility
Academic requirements are the same for all programmes, so the focus should be on where your passions and interests lie. Skills, drive and motivation are assessed in relation to the specific programme applied for. The exceptions are:
- Occupational Psychology Graduate Scheme: a Master of Science degree in Occupational Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society is required.
- Software Engineer graduate scheme: a degree or personal experience in any of the tech and/or tools outlined on the Software Engineer graduate scheme page is strongly encouraged.
For the graduate schemes, you must hold or be on track to obtain a degree, ideally a 2:2 or above. We recommend reviewing the programme details and application process carefully, as specific skills may be assessed during the selection process.
Each case is assessed individually. If extenuating circumstances are preventing you from meeting the minimum requirements, email the team at lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk. Circumstances typically need to be validated by an official letter from your university or a medical practitioner.
No. Only one application per candidate is accepted per year. If the scheme applied for is full and your skills and interests match other programmes within the same job family, you will be contacted to see if those opportunities are of interest.
Yes. You may be considered for similar programmes still recruiting, and you will be contacted if this is the case.
No. Sponsorship is not offered for graduate schemes.
Full details of your qualification will be required, which will then be verified using the NARIC tool to convert your international qualifications to its UK-recognised equivalent.
Application process
While there are definite closing dates, a programme may close early if enough high-quality applications are received. It's best to apply promptly. Access to the assessments should use a common operating system and browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Opera or Firefox), with a computer/laptop and strong Wi-Fi connection recommended.
Yes, applications are assessed just like external candidates. Apply via the internal job board using an external email address and your own device for online assessments.
It's not compulsory to answer these questions, but all information is recorded anonymously, and the data collected helps ensure the application process is fair and transparent.
Check your email junk/spam folder, as new passwords should be received within 24 hours. If still not received, email lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk
Yes. An original certificate or official university transcript will be needed once the degree is completed. Transcripts in a foreign language need to be officially translated into English.
Lloyds Banking Group is committed to always being an inclusive and diverse workforce. If you have a disability, long-term health condition, or neurodiverse condition, you can apply through the Disability Confident Scheme (DCS). Eligible candidates who meet the minimum criteria can progress if they meet 90% of the standard progression benchmark. Contact: lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk or call 0345 330 4576.
The Equality Act 2010 describes people with disabilities, long term health or neuro-diverse conditions as someone who has a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and adverse long-term effect on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
Not at all. You'll still be entitled to reasonable adjustments throughout the assessment process.
Once the application has been received, the assessment process begins. See the Application Process page for the various stages, and the Assessment Practice Zone for further insight: https://lbg.preparationplus.com/
Programme details
Assessment process
A skills-based assessment process is used to find people with the right talent and drive. Full details on how candidates are assessed and how to best prepare are on the Application Process page and Assessment Practice Zone.
No. To be fair and consistent to all candidates, it's not possible to take the tests again.
If you have a disability or condition that might affect your performance during the selection process, get in touch to discuss any needs. Email lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk or call 0345 330 4576.
Adjustments vary depending on specific needs or circumstances. Accessibility features built into the assessments include adjustable font sizes, subtitles on videos, writing styles and layouts.
Career development of people with neurodiverse conditions is fully supported, including but not limited to Autism, Asperger's, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dyspraxia. The application form allows disclosure of a neurodiverse condition, and the team will make contact to discuss needs.
Possibly. These requests are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Email full details to lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk
Yes. All assessments prior to the assessment day can be completed online at a time and place that suits you.
While individual results can't be provided, an Insights report is given after completing each assessment stage to help understand more about skills and development needs.
Everyone has a unique combination of strengths and areas for development, so the focus is on seeing the 'real you'. The best way to prepare is by thinking about your skills, the things you enjoy doing and are good at.
Access to a laptop/iPad and a good internet connection for the full day is required, ideally somewhere quiet and free from distractions.
If access to a laptop or tablet, or a good internet connection at home isn't available, contact the team to discuss access to a laptop within one of the offices, with travel expenses supported.
Notification is given nearer the time so the date can be kept free.
The Assessment Practice Zone is a great place to visit before completing any of the assessments: https://lbg.preparationplus.com/
