Eligibility

Academic requirements are the same for all our programmes, so focus on where your passions and interests lie. As far as selection criteria are concerned, we'll assess your strengths, drive and motivation in relation to the specific programme you apply for.

Please note that for our Occupational Psychology Graduate Scheme we require a Master of Science degree in Occupational Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.

For our graduate schemes, you must have, or be on track to achieve, a 2:2 degree or above from any university. We don't have any requirement for UCAS points.

No problem! We’ll need to check your previous transcripts to confirm that you have achieved a 2.2 or above so far, and that you’re on track to graduate with at least a 2.2

We need to be fair and consistent with every candidate, but we do assess each case individually. So, if extenuating circumstances are preventing you from meeting the minimum requirements, please email the team at lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk. Typically, we would need your circumstances to be validated by an official letter from your university or a medical practitioner.

No. We only accept one application per candidate, per year. But if the scheme you apply for is full, and your skills and interests match other programmes within the same job family, we’ll get in touch to see if those opportunities interest you.

Yes, we may consider you for similar programmes where we are still recruiting. If this is the case, we will be in touch.

No. We don’t offer sponsorship for our graduate schemes.

We’ll need full details of your qualification, which we’ll then verify using the NARIC tool to convert your international qualifications to its UK-recognised equivalent. If your qualification meets the same standard as the minimum UK-recognised equivalent, we’ll be happy to proceed with your application

Application process

While we have definite closing dates, sometimes we close a programme early if we get enough high-quality applications. It’s always best to make your application promptly.

For the best experience, you should access the assessments using a common operating system and browser (i.e. Google Chrome, Opera or Firefox). We would also recommend, that you access the system using a computer/laptop with a strong Wi-Fi connection.

Yes, providing you have achieved or are on track to achieve a 2:2 degree or above. Your application will be assessed just like external candidates. Apply via the internal job board using an external email address and your own device for online assessments.

It’s not compulsory to answer these questions but all information is recorded anonymously, and the data collected helps us make sure our application process is fair and transparent.

Sorry to hear that! Please check your email junk/spam folder because you should receive new passwords within 24 hours. If you still haven’t received your password, email the team at lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk

Yes. We’ll need to see your original certificate or official university transcript once you have completed your degree. If your transcripts are in a foreign language, they’ll need to be translated officially into English.

We're committed to always being an inclusive and diverse workforce. If you have a disability, long-term health condition, or neurodiverse condition, you can apply through our Disability Confident Scheme (DCS). Eligible candidates who meet the minimum criteria can progress if they meet 90% of the standard progression benchmark for the scheme.

If you're considering making an application under the DCS and have any questions please contact team at lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk or by calling 0345 330 4576. When you apply you should tick the disability confident box to declare you’re eligible. We may require further information in due course.

The Equality Act 2010 describes people with disabilities, long term health or neuro-diverse conditions as someone who has a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and adverse long-term effect on his or her ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.

Not at all, you’ll still be entitled to reasonable adjustments throughout the assessment process. Ultimately, we just want to give you the best chance to demonstrate your skills and capabilities, and an equal opportunity of success.

Once we’ve received your application, we'll begin the assessment process. You can find out more about the various stages on our Application Process page. We also recommend spending some time in our Assessment Practice Zone, which provides further insight into our assessments.

Programme details

We want you to gain valuable insights into the diversity of our business. To do this, some of our graduate schemes are rotational, meaning you’ll be based in different UK locations. On other schemes you’ll be based in a specific location for the duration of the programme.

This means you'll need to commit to the location requirements for whichever programme you apply for. For rotational programmes, you will need to be flexible to change location between placements. You can find more details about specific locations on each scheme page.

If there's anything you'd like to discuss before you apply, email the team at lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. If you'd prefer us to contact you by phone, don't forget to include your number.

Our programmes are designed to embrace your passions and develop your skills and interests so you can enjoy a successful career with us.

Throughout the scheme, you’ll receive the development and support you need to build a strong foundation and be encouraged to consider where your strengths and potential can be fully realised. During your final placement, we’ll support you to secure a role that will allow you to put all your learning and development to good use.

Assessment process

We use a strengths-based assessment process to find people with the right values, talent and drive, to join our business. Find out everything you need to know about how we assess candidates, and how you can best prepare, on our Application Process page and Assessment Practice Zone.

Unfortunately, no We need to be fair and consistent to all candidates and the criteria we are assessing you against, so it’s not possible to take the tests again.

We know everyone is unique, and we want you to feel comfortable and perform your best. If you have a disability or condition that might affect your performance during the selection process, let us know. We have different assessment formats and can make adjustments, so please get in touch to discuss any needs you may have to be able to complete the process on an equal footing.

Further detail on our assessments is on our Application Process page and you can inform us of any adjustments you may require on your application form. In addition, the Assessment Practice Zone will enable you to gain an understanding of what to expect from the selection process, the potential impact of any disability and an understanding of what adjustments, if any, you feel would be needed. If you wish to speak to us prior to submitting your application, please contact us by  emailing lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk or calling on 0345 330 4576.

Adjustments vary depending on your specific needs or circumstances. The best way to identify the most suitable adjustments is for us to speak with you, to work out what adjustments would be best.

Also, we’ve built in some accessibility features to the assessments themselves that may help you, including adjustable font sizes, subtitles on videos, writing styles and layouts.

If you’ve told us about the adjustments you need in your application, we’ll be in touch to talk about how we can accommodate these. If you didn’t include them in your application or just want to discuss the possibilities, please email the team at lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk or call 0345 330 4576.

We fully support the career development of people with neurodiverse conditions, including, but not limited to, Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dyspraxia. On the application form, you can disclose if you have a neurodiverse condition. If you select 'yes,' our team will contact you to discuss your needs. Please wait to complete the online assessment until we've talked about any reasonable adjustments for the process.

Possibly. We deal with these requests on a case-by-case basis. Please email full details of your situation to the team at lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk

Yes, that’s fine. All the assessments prior to the assessment day can be completed online at a time and place that suits you. We recommend you pick somewhere quiet though, and it’s a good idea to turn off your phone.

While we can’t provide individual results, you’ll get an Insights report after completing the online assessment, to help you understand more about your strengths and development needs. It doesn’t, however, indicate whether you've made it to the next stage.

Everyone has a unique combination of strengths and areas for development, so we want to see the ‘real you.’ We’re not expecting perfection. Just be yourself. The best way to prepare is by thinking about your natural strengths – the things you enjoy doing and you’re good at. Find more information on our Application Process page and Assessment Practice Zone.

We use Microsoft Teams to run our virtual assessment days. Make sure you have access to a laptop/iPad and a good internet connection for the full day, and ideally somewhere quiet to work and be free from distractions. You can access Microsoft Teams on a smartphone but as you’ll be asked to review detailed information, we recommend you use a larger device instead.

We appreciate that not everyone will have access to a laptop or tablet, or a good internet connection at home. And that’s OK, we can help. Contact us and we can discuss giving you access to a laptop within one of our offices. If you do travel to one of our offices, we can support you with travel expenses too. Please email the team at lloydsbankinggrouptalent@peoplescout.co.uk or call 0345 330 4576.

For our in-person Assessment Centres, more information will be provided nearer the time, including what you will need on the day and how to book travel.

We let you know nearer the time so that you can keep the date free.

Our Assessment Practice Zone is a great place to visit before completing any of the assessments. It’s packed with great information to help you best prepare for the assessment.
