This scheme is all about business, finance and data improving lives. Work in Insurance, Pensions and Investments. Help people secure a better future and easing some of society’s biggest challenges: an ageing population, low financial confidence, wealth transfer, and climate change.  

You’ll need to be curious and a quick thinker with an open mind, with the resilience to get stuck into some big challenges. You’ll be helping people secure themselves a better future. Humility, teamwork, and appreciation of different viewpoints and building strong relationships are key.

What you'll learn

Complete three eight-month placements over two years in the areas below. You’ll work with different teams to develop and sharpen your skills, experience different aspects of our business, and become expert in the commercial insights that drive our innovation and progress.  

A buddy or mentor will support you and offer guidance throughout the scheme. Access technical and business-aligned training. Further support your development via platforms such as Viva Learning and Learning Management systems.  

Grow your skills through our development opportunities. Connect with colleagues, build your network, and make a difference. Build the career you want in our inclusive, growth-focused culture.

What you'll learn

Customer  

Build your knowledge of our Insurance, Pensions, and Investments products and services. Get to know our customers and what they need. You’ll learn how we deliver great service, and how we support our customers. 

Platform  

Blend business with tech. Get to know our products, customer journeys, and how we use digital innovation to drive better outcomes and create sustainable solutions.  

Strategy & Relationship Management  

Work with Independent Financial Advisors, direct sales, and branches. Deepen your industry knowledge, build key relationships, and support strategic decisions with your people skills and data analysis.

  • Get to know our customers and business inside out by collaborating across departments.
  • Look at the way we do things and explore fresh ideas with data-driven analysis.
  • Provide key insights to senior management with a digital-first approach.
  • Drive projects that shape the future of our products.
  • Contribute to our commercial strategy and boost our growth.

Requirements

A 2:2 degree or above in any discipline from any university. Please note we’re not able to sponsor visas.  

This is a rotational programme across various UK locations including Edinburgh, Bristol and Leeds. Placements take place across these main hubs, with the potential for relocation every eight months.  With our hybrid working policy, all colleagues are expected to spend a minimum of two days each week in the office.
