Our values

Being a more inclusive business makes us a stronger business. And that strength stems from maximising people’s potential. Putting inclusion at the heart of all our work. Pushing all our operations to integrate faster. To drive our initiatives forward. That way, we make sure they influence all our work. With customers, colleagues, communities and partners. Creating spaces that welcome everyone. The type of workplace that’s representative of modern-day Britain.

Disability and neurodiversity

It’s our aim is to be a leader in disability and neuro-inclusion. Creating inclusive workplaces for everyone. Helping neurodiverse colleagues and those with disabilities to fulfil their potential. So we’ve set ourselves a goal. We’re aiming to double the representation of UK based colleagues with disabilities in senior management roles to12% by 2025. Providing accessible, inclusive products and services to customers starts from within. Ensuring disabled and neurodiverse colleagues are supported and able to contribute is how we achieve that.

Ethnicity

Being the best bank for all our customers means reflecting our increasingly multicultural society.  We’ve set an ambition to increase representation of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic colleagues in executive roles. Our aim is to reach 19-22% by the end of 2030. Within that, we’re also aiming to increase Black representation to 3.5-4% over the same timeframe.

Gender

At the end of 2024, women held 40.4% of senior management roles at Lloyds Banking Group. And were working hard to achieve a maintained gender balance of between 45–55% at executive level by the end of 2030. Not just because businesses that are proportionately gendered do better, but because that’s who we are. Equal and right.

LGBT+

#AlwaysProud isn’t just a hashtag. Pride isn’t just a month in the calendar. We’re committed to providing safe and supportive environments every single day. For all colleagues, however they express their gender identity.

Colleague networks

Colleague networks help create the inclusive working environments we want to see. They’re there to help colleagues reach their full potential. Each has a different focus, but all of them are run by volunteers who feel as passionately about inclusion as we do.

All networks are open to everyone. They offer a range of opportunities. Like events, mentoring and career development. They exist to guide and support you. A way to connect with leaders and role models. They’re your opportunity to network.

Networks

Our Access network

Access, our award-winning disability colleague network, connects colleagues with disabilities. Including mental health and long term health conditions. Accessibility advocates work across the group. They organise disability awareness sessions and can signpost colleagues to additional sources of support. Access offers support and development opportunities across the entire business.

Our Rainbow network

Rainbow is the Lloyds LGBT+ colleague network. It plays a pivotal role, with over 5,000 members and supporters. Rainbow is one of the largest networks of its kind in the UK. It’s there to connect, develop and support LGBT+ colleagues. But it doesn’t stop there, Rainbow has supported a range of LGBTQ+ charities. Over the years, they’ve raised funds and volunteered for organisations like MindOut, Waverley Care and Switchboard.

Our REACH network

The REACH network is engaged in Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage issues. It connects supports and develops colleagues from UK minority ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Membership is open to all colleagues, with 4,000+ members and 700 advocates at this time.

REACH is passionate about supporting communities. Our RISE programme, for example. Inspiring students from under-represented and disadvantaged backgrounds to explore careers in banking.

Our Breakthrough network

Our women’s employee network ‘Breakthrough’ is one of the largest of its kind in the UK with 10,000 members and 4,000 mentors.

Breakthrough is one of the many ways we are supporting colleagues with fulfilling their career potential at Lloyds Banking Group.
