8 weeks. Real impact

In your Corporate Banking and Markets (CB&M) Internship you’ll be based in either London, Birmingham, or Edinburgh. You’ll be in the most fascinating corners of Corporate and Institutional Banking.

Your first taste of CB&M life could include:

  • Joining key client meetings, developing stakeholder management skills and learning how to build trust fast.
  • Creating slick, client-facing packs that showcase our solutions.
  • Delivering strategic review presentations - complete with case studies - to celebrate wins and set next-step action plans.
  • Make senior management pipeline reports more visual and insightful.
  • Design one-page growth strategy templates to spot opportunities for strategic accounts.

You could get involved with:

  • Supporting financial modelling to shape the future of a deal.
  • Contribute to Deal Screening Committees, weighing up which opportunities should fly.
  • Analyse ESG and reputational risks, proposing ways to solve them.
  • Sustainability-focused - diving into ESG opportunities that help clients make responsible choices.
  • Product & Risk-driven - getting under the skin of our lending and transactional banking solutions.

Requirements

  • Be in your penultimate year at university.
  • We do not require a set projected minimum degree achievement.
  • We strongly recommend the ability to be able to demonstrate sound knowledge, understanding and technical skills aligned to the role. Some aspects of this, alongside behaviours and values, will be assessed through the application process.
  • We cannot sponsor visas.

This role is based in London, Birmingham or Edinburgh. All colleagues are expected to spend a minimum of two days each week in the office; some roles are five days per week.
