Our Brands, Marketing & Experience (BMX) division plays a central role in the Group’s purpose of helping Britain prosper. We deliver personalised, data-driven customer communications, build world-class brand engagement, and make sure every interaction feels relevant and human.
On our BMX Internship, you’ll be right in the middle of the action, part of a fast, creative, and digitally driven team – learning how to craft campaigns, design customer journeys, and harness data and technology to make an impact that lasts.

8 weeks. Real impact
Your internship will place you in BMX – gaining a 360° view of how marketing builds value and creates impact.
You could be working in:
- Insights, Planning & Effectiveness – turning customer data into smart strategy.
- Group Brands & B2B – managing portfolios and partnerships.
- Experience Design – shaping journeys that are useful, usable and delightful.
- Consumer Marketing – driving full-funnel campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest brands

What your work could look like
- Designing campaigns seen by millions.
- Partnering with UX/UI specialists to improve journeys.
- Using tools like Tableau, Sprinklr and Oracle to track and optimise.
- Working with agencies to bring bold creative ideas to life.
- Testing and refining campaigns to boost engagement and brand impact.

By the end of the internship, you’ll have gained real-world experience in being:
- Insight-driven – using data to spark ideas.
- Brand-savvy – growing and protecting household names.
- Creative and strategic – balancing bold thinking with commercial outcomes.
- Digitally confident – hands-on with tools like Adobe, Figma, Co-Pilot.

Requirements
- Be in your penultimate year at university.
- While we do not require a set projected minimum degree achievement, we strongly recommend the ability to be able to demonstrate sound knowledge, understanding and technical skills aligned to the role. Some aspects of this, alongside behaviours and values, will be assessed through the application process.
- We cannot sponsor visas.
- Creativity, curiosity, and a genuine interest in marketing and customer experience.
- Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn new digital tools.
This internship is based in Bristol, Halifax, Edinburgh or London. With our hybrid working policy, all colleagues are expected to spend at least two days a week in the office.
