If you’re applying to our Data and Analytics or Risk Management the three stages below show you what to expect.
Our biggest tip to help you through the process? Just to be yourself. We’re not interested in perfectly performed responses and answers. We want to hear what you’re truly passionate about and why you believe the scheme you’ve chosen is right for you.
We want to hear from people of all backgrounds and have created a recruitment process that gives everyone the chance to excel. So if you are on track to get a 2:2 degree or above, and are in your penultimate year of university, then apply.
Applications will open soon and will close once we have received enough applications. This could be before the published closing dates, which is why we encourage you to make your application as soon as you can. For us to consider your application, you need to have completed both your application form and online assessment before the closing date.
Simply, let us know. We value diversity and recruit people based on their strengths and what they can bring to our Group, rather than their experience.
We’re committed to the employment and career development of people with neuro-diverse conditions. Neurodiversity covers a whole range of conditions including, but not limited to, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia. When you complete the application form there is an option to disclose if you have a neuro-diverse condition. If you do, a member of our team will contact you to discuss how we can support you and any reasonable adjustments we can make. Please do not complete the online assessment until you have spoken with a member of the team.
The process for our Technology Engineering Industrial Placement is slightly different. Click the button at the top to find out more.
Once you’ve found the placement that’s right for you, click the apply button. You will then be asked to register by completing a form with some details about yourself. The good news is, we don’t require a CV and we don’t rely solely on your past successes. During all stages, we’re more interested in how you share our values and can demonstrate your potential.
This gives you an insight into our Group and how we support our customers and communities. You will be guided through it and it should take around 60 minutes (although don’t worry if you complete it in more/less time).
Some of the accessibility features of our online assessment include:
This stage enables you to better understand the type of work you might get involved with as a graduate at Lloyds Banking Group. And it allows us to assess how you approach different challenges in a variety of true-to-life situations.
The assessment takes around 60 minutes to complete so, as with our online assessment, choose a quiet spot and be prepared for any notes you may want to jot down. Again, our Assessment Practice Zone can give you a lot of insight into this assessments so make sure you check it out.
You will be presented with multiple scenarios with several questions exploring how you would respond, as well as data for you to analyse and interpret. The job insight assessment includes questions where you will be required to record a video response or written response. These questions will be time limited.
If you have a disability, long-term health or neurodiverse condition, this may have an impact on the ability to complete the job insights assessment. Let us know if you need extra support and we’ll be happy to discuss the adjustments we can make, such as giving you additional time. You will have the opportunity to request additional time or other adjustments within your application form.
You’ll receive a feedback report within a few days of completing the assessment. We’ll then contact you about whether you’ve progressed to the next stage after the advertised closing date for the programme you have applied for.
The final stage of the application process is a full day of assessments held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
It works in a similar way to a face-to-face assessment day, with numerous candidates and assessors involved. And you’ll be asked to complete a mix of tasks, including short problem-solving style activities, a one-to-one interview as well as group-based activities.
But the day isn’t just about us assessing you – you’ll get to learn more about us too, our values and our culture. The assessors you’ll meet are colleagues at Lloyds Banking Group and you’ll also get to talk with some of our current graduates who can tell you about their own journey and answer your questions.
You will need access to a laptop or tablet and a good internet connection for the full day, and ideally somewhere to sit where you can be free from distractions. You can access Microsoft Teams on a smartphone but as you’ll be asked to review detailed information, we recommend you use a larger device instead.
We appreciate that not everyone will have access to a laptop or tablet, or a good internet connection at home. And that’s OK, we can help if that’s the case. Contact us and we can discuss giving you access to a laptop within one of our offices. Or perhaps another solution. If you do travel to one of our offices, we can support you with travel expenses too.
While there’s nothing specific you can prepare in advance, we do recommend spending some time in our Assessment Practice Zone. This will give you lots of insight into our assessments and help you consider how best to articulate why you are considering a career with us, and in particular, the programme you have applied for.
