And to keep serving them well, we’re investing up to £2bn each year in innovative tech like robotics, machine learning, cloud technology. In fact, in 2020, our commitment to innovation saw us named Euromoney’s Best Digital Bank in Western Europe.

With each new development, we need to remain laser-focused on our customers and their changing needs. And that’s where our Engineers come in. Their role is to help us develop software and services that improve people’s banking experiences.

Over two years, you’ll gain a fantastic insight into the variety of engineering roles we offer, helping you find and grow in an area you really enjoy.

You’ll join a different team on each of your three rotations and experience a diverse range of projects. You could be working on large-scale projects, writing code in different languages, creating DevOps pipelines, building new features for our mobile app or creating a robot that automatically restores our core banking services.

Whatever the challenge, you’ll learn how to use agile and waterfall methodologies to tackle it and see first-hand the difference your contribution can make. Supported by your Engineering Lead, you can take up extra learning and accreditations such as cloud training and certification courses.
