From insuring their first car to saving for retirement, we support our customers through the moments that matter most to them. We put them at the heart of every decision we make, and we're committed to delivering market-leading insurance and investment solutions that meet their individual needs.
Today, of course, 'market-leading' means more than simply charging the lowest premium or offering the highest return on investment. Every bit as important to us – and our customers – is that the products and propositions we offer are ethical, sustainable and delivered in a responsible way.
The coronavirus pandemic has magnified human vulnerability, with more people now at risk of experiencing financial difficulties. We’re helping customers increase their financial resilience by providing sustainable insurance and protection products, as well as ethical investment choices.
By looking at the business through fresh eyes and challenging the way we do things, you’ll have a big part to play in all this and more when you join us on this programme
Graduates that join our Sustainable Financial Wellbeing graduate scheme will work within our Insurance, Pensions and Investments division. If you're naturally inquisitive, have an interest in business, finance and data, and are excited by the opportunity to develop and deliver excellent customer propositions, this could be the scheme for you.
Challenging the status quo is a big part of the ask for our graduates. So two things you'll need are strong critical-thinking skills and an open mind. Humility and resilience are equally important. And because this is an area of the business that's all about people, you’ll need to enjoy collaborating, seeing things from others’ perspective and building strong relationships.
Over the course of two years, you’ll complete three eight-month placements. On each, you’ll work with a different team and develop your skills and experience across the following areas and drive innovation through working with our multiskilled Platform teams.
Customers are the heart of everything we do. Learning how we deliver the highest standards of service will give you a strong base understanding of our business and, more importantly, our customers. Interacting with them directly and with our operational teams will help you understand their needs, and how this feeds into our future strategy.
Sustainability extends beyond the environment, encompassing economic and social sustainability too. We aim to offer customers ethical investment choices and challenge the companies we invest in to behave more sustainably and responsibly. As a leading UK insurer, we're also helping customers increase their resilience against the growing threat of extreme weather caused by climate change. You’ll build your knowledge and expertise of our various products and propositions in these areas and provide us with your perspectives around what more we can do in this space.
We have many routes to market including Independent Financial Advisors, directly to our customers and through our own branches. We also have a strong Workplace proposition, with pensions and investments that companies can offer to their staff. You’ll work with the teams responsible for building those relationships.
