Help us empower our people to deliver our purpose

Our people make Lloyds Banking Group everything it is. When they’re at their best, our business is too. Right now, our People and Places teams are heading into an exciting new chapter. One that will see us do even more to enable our employees to deliver our strategy, grow our business and Help Britain Prosper.

That means growing our future skills and helping colleagues build their own fulfilling career paths. It means making Lloyds Banking Group a great place to work, from the physical environments we offer to all the ways we recognise and reward our people. And it means shaping our culture and future proofing how we work, so it’s enjoyable and meaningful for us all.

Join one of our specialist programmes and you could play an important part in helping our people achieve even greater success.

Discover your specialism

Supporting our people takes a broad range of expertise. Our three specialist programmes can help you hone your talents and discover new interests in a specific area. Use the tabs below to explore what each one offers.

Talent Acquisition

Our Talent Acquisition team manages all the recruitment we do, from beginning to end. This includes how we use our employer brand to attract the right people, how we identify, engage, and assess candidates and how we help them feel part of our Group when they join us. This is a team that is critical to our future growth and transformation plans. To support this, they’re constantly seeking new ways to use technology and other innovative solutions to personalise and transform our recruitment experience for everyone involved. All in all, this is also a fantastic time to join them.

On this programme, you’ll start with a two-week bootcamp giving you an overview of our People and Places function. You’ll then rotate through three placements in Tech Recruitment, Branding and Attraction and Executive Recruitment. You could be:

  • using different sourcing techniques to find and attract talented candidates
  • developing attention-grabbing marketing campaigns for critical roles
  • analysing data and insights to make our future attraction plans even better
  • delivering changes to our process using agile methodology and design thinking
  • supporting hiring managers to make the way they recruit even more effective.

Over two years, you’ll learn what it takes to find the rich talent we need within our Group and ensure candidates are excited to join and stay. Plus, get all the support you need to develop in the ways you want and earn a professional CIPD qualification.

Reward

Looking for an exciting way to make the most of your strategic thinking, people and analytical skills? This could be it. On this programme, you’ll help us shape our reward package so we can attract and retain the talent we need to deliver the Group’s strategy.

Following a two-week bootcamp giving you an overview of our People and Places function, you’ll rotate through placements in teams such as Reward Policy & Propositions, Executive Reward and Reward Partnering. You’ll also have the opportunity to do a placement outside Reward in a HR generalist role.

Depending on your placements, you could be:

  • designing reward policies and offerings to help recruit and retain talent
  • managing the Executive Reward lifecycle and responding to leaders’ queries
  • working with a range of colleagues to deliver our annual pay and bonus cycle
  • developing communications to help colleagues understand and make the most of their reward package
  • examining data and trends to help us improve the full range of rewards we offer.

Throughout it all, you’ll gain an in-depth insight into what our expert teams do, helping you explore the kind of reward role you might want to move into after your graduate scheme. Plus, we’ll support you to work towards a professional CIPD qualification.

Occupational Psychology

To help our people perform at their best, we need to understand the way they behave. That’s where our Occupational Psychologists come in. Through this programme, you’ll apply psychological theories, knowledge and practice to enhance our people proposition, supercharge the way we work and interact with each other, and create an environment where everybody thrives.

Following a two-week bootcamp giving you an overview of our People and Places function, you’ll rotate through three different P&P teams which could include our Executive Talent and Assessment, People Partnering, Culture and Leadership, or others.

You could find yourself:

  • leading the development of a product, from early design to implementation
  • using your specialist knowledge to challenge thinking and provide fresh insight
  • working with forward-thinking suppliers to scope exciting new people solutions
  • researching our market to uncover new suppliers, products and trends
  • supporting and inspiring colleagues to unlock their full potential.
