Group Operations is the backbone of Lloyds Banking Group. Whether it’s managing the flow of payments or working with business areas to deliver the best customer experience, our operations teams support strategic activity right across the Group. 

For innovative problem-solvers who love learning and working in a fast-paced environment, the Business Management & Customer Operations internship or Graduate Leadership Programme within Group Operations, is a unique opportunity. Not only will you discover a lot about your interests, and yourself, you’ll play a key role in delivering improvements for our customers, our people and our business.


Over two years, this programme will give you a strategic overview of one of the largest financial institutions in the UK. Throughout three, eight-month placements within Group Operations, across multiple UK cities, you’ll learn a lot about our business, and also more about yourself. These placements will vary but will largely focus on managing excellent customer experiences and partnering with teams across the whole organisation – from processes, to property and from sourcing to security.


Our internship programme is a fantastic opportunity to discover more about Lloyds Banking Group and the variety of areas and teams within Group Operations. You’ll learn about inspiring change, influencing people, designing solutions and improving processes. Plus, you’ll gain valuable business insights and build key skills in preparation for your future career.

Locations: All of our Graduate Leadership Programmes are rotational and our Business Management & Customer Operations roles are based nationwide. Interns will stay in the same location for the duration of the programme. 

Salary: Graduate salaries start at £28,000p.a. and Internships are £18,000p.a. pro-rata.
