Our Structure

Lloyds Banking Group became one of the UK's largest financial services companies when Lloyds TSB Group acquired HBOS in January 2009. Our portfolio of high street and household names is unparalleled.

Our Retail division provides a full range of banking and financial services to 30 million personal customers through the internet, telephone banking and approximately 3,000 branches across the UK. This division operates through household names such as Lloyds TSB, Bank of Scotland, Halifax, C&G, Intelligent Finance and Birmingham Midshires.

Insurance is home to Scottish Widows and Clerical and Medical, who provide life assurance, pensions and investment products. Lloyds TSB General Insurance provides over five million customers with home, car, pet, travel, student and caravan insurance.

Wholesale provides banking and related services for major UK and multinational corporate companies, financial institutions, and small and medium-sized UK businesses. We also provide asset finance and manage our activities in financial markets through our treasury function, as well as providing banking and financial services overseas.

Wealth & International, a new division of the Group, aims to excel in three specific areas: Wealth – private banking for high net-worth individuals; Asset Management – investment through Scottish Widows Investment Partnership & Insight; International – retail and international banking. By working closely with the other divisions of the Group we aim to leverage our capabilities and expand our customer base.

Group IT & Operations underpins these four vibrant business areas and ensures that the Group gets the best possible support in areas such as IT, Operations, Procurement and Property Services. This division aims to provide the best support services and to simplify them as much as possible for employees and customers.

In turn, these sectors are bolstered by critical functions such as Human Resources, Finance, Audit and Risk departments. This ensures we are offering the highest level support, systems, processes and procedures to make our business run smoothly and effectively.
