FAQ'S
Q. When are the deadlines for applications?
There are a limited number of vacancies each year and we fill these on a first come first serve basis so it's advisable to apply at the earliest opportunity. Once we have met our requirements, we will close to applications.
Q. What will make my application stand out?
We are looking for individuals with real leadership potential and the ability to motivate and drive people. So tell us how and why you fulfil these criteria. Make sure you talk about any positions of responsibility you've had. We want you to prove to us that you have what it takes to be a great leader in our organisation. What's more, we're looking for people with a real passion for our organisation and the ability to clearly articulate why you're attracted to working for us.
To be considered, you must have achieved at least a 2.1 degree and have a great academic record, although being academic alone isn't enough - we're also looking for the characteristics described above.
Q. What is the application process?
The stages you will go through are:
- Online application and questionnaire
- Online psychometric ability testing
- Telephone-based assessment
- Final stage selection event
If your application is successful, you'll be invited to attend a selection centre. The day is taken up with ability tests, a group exercise and one-to-one exercises. But make sure you assess us while we assess you.
Please note, we do not accept CV-only applications. Everyone must go through all the above stages.
Q. What if I don't have a 2.1 degree or a great academic record?
We offer a range of career opportunities, many of which can be found in the job vacancies section on our Lloyds Banking Group site. Check back regularly for direct hire vacancies too.
Q. Where are your programmes based?
All of our graduate opportunities require full UK mobility to get the maximum benefit from the range of opportunities we have in our nationwide offices. Our undergraduate programmes, on the other hand, give you the choice to specify a location and we will work to source roles against this.
However, to get the most from your experience with us, it is important to embrace the opportunity to work in different teams, cities and offices.
Q. What happens when I finish my programme?
Our programmes are designed to be a springboard to a successful career within Lloyds Banking Group. The development and support offered throughout the programmes will ensure you have a strong foundation to progress throughout the organisation.
Our internships offer the opportunity to be referred on to our Graduate Leadership Programme, further developing your leadership potential and business awareness. Successful completion of our Graduate Leadership Programme will set you on the way to a promising career within Lloyds Banking Group.
