Business Technology

Your 10 week summer internship will give you a unique insight into the heart of our business and present you with the opportunity to receive high quality training and excellent career development. Along with all the support and encouragement you need from a wide support network, you'll also gain exposure to senior management and have the opportunity to liaise at all levels. We'll show you the basic principles of commercial management, leadership and people management and business awareness. 

The Programme

Transformation-related projects are paramount in the Business Technology internship and you'll get experience with service delivery/technical delivery mangers, ensuring effective IT operations are implemented and quality is assured. With technological advances changing the way we live and work on an almost daily basis, you'll gain experience in a wide range of generalist and specialist placements and get a head-start on how we anticipate our future to be shaped by our IT department. 

Internships give you an insight of what you can expect on our Graduate Leadership Programme, and are a brilliant opportunity to secure your place 12 months later by showing us just how much you've got to offer. They run between June and September, pay a very competitive £18,000 p.a. (pro-rata) with added London allowance if your placement is in the capital and will provide you with a solid foundation for a for a successful and long-term career. If you show the right leadership potential there may even be a seat on our board for you in years to come.

If you're in the penultimate year of university in an academic discipline and expect to achieve at least a 2:1, there could be a place available for you. With an organisation as broad as ours, the opportunities to work in different divisions and departments are vast. We therefore require all of our interns to be fully UK mobile to embrace the chance to experience different locations and environments within our organisation. Our placements could be anywhere across the UK however we will try and take your preferences into consideration where appropriate. 

Rewards

We want to attract the highest calibre applicants who will take us to the next level, therefore we offer our interns an attractive salary of £18,000 (pro-rata) and we'll also add an extra allowance if your placement is in London.

From day one of your internship, you'll be working alongside senior business managers who will expect you to deliver outstanding results on important projects.
