About the Placements

Your placements could be in any of the following business areas:

Retail Banking

With Britain's largest network of over 3,000 branches, supplemented by telephone and internet banking, we're everywhere our 17 million customers need us to be. So joining the UK's largest multi-brand retail bank will give you a breadth of opportunity to really make an impact. And, with many different areas to explore, there's bound to be a career path for you - whether it's Community Banking (working within our store network), Telephone & Internet Banking, Mortgages & Savings, Personal Current Accounts, Group Marketing or HR.

Wholesale

Spanning the UK and North America on a bigger scale than ever before, the Wholesale Bank is one of our most exciting divisions. Serving a wide range of customers, from entrepreneurs and sole proprietors to large multinationals, there's an even wider range of opportunities open to you here. You could be managing relationships with our corporate and commercial customers, or be involved in commercial finance in our syndication and structured finance teams - or even work as a change practitioner managing large-scale initiatives.

Wealth & International

With areas including Private Banking, Expatriate Banking and Asset Management, our ambition is to become a profitable and robust growth engine for the new Lloyds Banking Group. As a new division, we have a fantastic opportunity to leverage both our existing capabilities and the Group's significant customer base to build a platform for future growth. With a range of learning and development opportunities across an impressive client portfolio, it's an ideal platform for your future success too.

Insurance

This division operates in two main areas: General Insurance (including home, motor and travel insurance) and Life, Pensions and Investments (including retirement, protection and investment products through Scottish Widows and Clerical Medical). Building and growing our Insurance businesses across all channels, our aim is to be recognised as the best Life, Pensions and Investments company by our customers, colleagues and shareholders. We want to be seen as the company that helps people prepare for their financial futures. And to help you prepare for your future leadership career.

Group Executive Functions

Using our expertise in areas such as Risk, Finance, HR and Audit, we support Lloyds Banking Group in its vision to be the best financial services company in the UK. Our job is to support our colleagues, provide insight into our specialist areas of knowledge and provide best practice tools and processes to enable them to do their job effectively. It's a dynamic area of the bank that will expose you to a range of different teams - each giving you a unique insight into how our business works.

Group Operations

In these rapidly evolving times, we already have a leading role in Change Management. Our job is to ensure that we have the best IT, Operations, Procurement and Property Services. On a placement in this area, you'll help us to drive simplification and continuous improvement. In return, we'll ensure you gain a thorough understanding of the way all the businesses work together - and of the vital part you'll play in helping us to be the best.

What we are looking for

To succeed with us, you'll need to demonstrate that you possess the judgement, drive and ability to excel within a high-pressure, results-driven environment.
