Lloyds TSB today opens the doors to its brand new branch in
Westfield Stratford City. The branch marks the first presence of
the bank, a Proud Partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic
Games, around the Olympic Park, and will be officially opened by
guest of honour former 110 metre hurdles Olympic Medallist and
World Champion Colin Jackson and Group Director of Lloyds TSB and
Bank of Scotland Community Bank, Alison Brittain.
This will be the first new branch to
be opened by Lloyds TSB in seven years and to mark its position
close to the Olympic Park, the launch events and branch décor, has
a truly unique London 2012 design featuring Olympic and Paralympic
Games inspired artwork.
Colin Jackson is joined at the launch
of the branch in Westfield Stratford City by Lloyds TSB Local
Heroes and Team GB and ParalympicsGB hopefuls 800m runner Darren St
Clair and Wheelchair Basketball star Tyler Saunders. The Lloyds TSB
Local Heroes programme, in partnership with SportsAid, provides
support and funding to emerging athletes on their journey to London
2012 and beyond.

To continue the theme, the London 2012
Olympic Torch will be on display in the branch all day, and is
available for visitors to have their photograph taken with it and
take home a framed copy of the photo. Additionally there will
be:

1948 London Olympic Games

Opportunities for visitors to
compete in Olympic sports, and challenge our special guests, on
a video game console

The opportunity to have a
financial review with one of our in-branch specialists

For new customers opening a current
account to the Stratford Westfield branch and existing customers
completing a financial review with one of the team before 6:00pm on
1 November 2011, there will also be the chance to win a helicopter
flight over the Olympic Park.

The launch event will be followed by a
special customer event on Saturday 17 September, hosted by former
Olympic Gold Medallist and four-time European Indoor Champion Jason
Gardener and Lloyds TSB Local Heroes Twinelle Hopeson and Darren St
Clair. The London 2012 Olympic Torch will again be on display and
other activities such as face painting will be available to
entertain the kids.

branch will be open six days a week.
