Employers are set to continue their use of
benefits and allowances as a key tool in attracting and retaining
employees, with some planning to increase their use in the coming
year. The XpertHR 2011 survey provided statistics on current and
planned use of benefits and allowances within the workplace. The
key finding was that despite uncertain economic conditions, most
employers have maintained or increased their pre-recession benefits
offerings and continue to provide a wide range of perks to
employees boosting attraction and employee retention.
Benefits and allowance schemes are a great way to motivate
colleagues, attract future candidates and increase retention rates.
Alongside childcare and retail vouchers, many organisations are
also introducing green benefits such as cycle to work schemes to
reinforce their CSR programmes. This has proven to be a great way
of boosting a positive working environment and presence within the
market.
