Your learning and development

We believe that continued learning and development is fundamental to the success of our colleagues and the organisation as a whole. So to help you make the most of your potential, we've made sure that you have our support at every stage of your graduate journey with us.

There's our in-house curriculum, 'Learning at Lloyds Banking Group', to ensure your learning journey continues as long as you want it to.  This facility offers development across a range of skills but with particular emphasis on Performance, Leadership and Management.

Our Academies programme offers colleagues a series of one-stop-shops for their development, giving them access to tailored professional development materials relevant for their own field of expertise. It also encourages our people to develop their careers in new directions.

In addition there are a host of formal and informal opportunities, to gain knowledge from influential members of our Executive Team and Senior Business Leaders who are only too happy to pass on their expertise. There are also key staff on hand to help you settle in, offer you invaluable tips and advice and help you find the placements most suitable to your development and chosen career path.

Whichever programme you choose to start your career with us, we'll support and encourage you every step of the way.  You'll undertake a variety of Development Activities throughout the duration of your programme, each specifically tailored to bring out the best in you and to equip you to deal with the many challenges and opportunities that will come your way.

In addition to these activities, project work and specialist professional advice will help you gain an all-round knowledge of our business, whilst still allowing you the flexibility to choose your own individual career path.

But success isn't just about your professional development. It's about your personal development too. So our supportive culture and lively graduate network offer plenty of opportunities to get involved. You could help us to raise funds for our Charity of the Year. Or you can take your choice from a range of social responsibility initiatives, where you can give something back to the communities we serve, whilst you develop your skills and networks in a rewarding way. Whatever you do, you'll benefit from the whole experience.

And what about when the Graduate Leadership programme finishes? Our ambitions for your ongoing success are as great as your own, so this is when your career journey really gets going. Regular performance reviews, continuing support and constructive feedback will help you to fulfill your ambitions. What's more, we'll sponsor you to study for a professional accreditation to help develop your talents even further (for example, we've helped hundreds of people obtain CIMA, CIPD or CFA qualifications).
